What age is the right age for a child to use Chaos?
Chaos is intended for children 10 and older.
Some children may require parental help to get going but most can begin immediately.
How much room does it take?
While the Chaos system is large the footprint is very small. A 6 foot tall structure needs a floor space of 10 inches by 22 inches. Is Chaos portable? Once assembled or evenly partially assembled the Chaos system can be easily moved without harm to your ongoing design. We are aware of no other construction toy that has this flexibility.
Putting away the toy does not mean an end to hours of construction and design as with other toys.
Do we need batteries?
No. Chaos sets come with an AC power adapter. No one likes batteries.
Can more than one person play with Chaos at a time?
Yes. Chaos provides a wonderful collaborative environment for building and developing relationships.
Are the Chaos activities and curriculum appropriate for different age children?
Yes!! Our curriculum is designed for grades 2-12. Of course children can use the activities as they are ready. It is a complete Home school curriculum for those families and children that want a complete physics education.
Can Chaos be expanded?
Absolutely. Every year we try to introduce a few new stunts. When you buy Chaos you have purchased a toy designed for generations of enjoyment. Kinetic Art appeals to all ages.
I have some of your older Chaos sets. Are those parts compatible with the newer parts?
Yes. Even our original lift system can be combined with our newer systems.
My lift chain sometimes comes apart. What's up with that?
Each chain link has an opening that connects to the next link. Make sure these openings are facing outward (away from the sprockets) for the entire chain.
On my new layout, the balls fly off of the track when they hit a corner.
Try putting some bells on the track to slow them down before they reach the corner.
